The CLSC designation provides a nationally recognized credential validating your skills as a life skills counselor. You’ll complete comprehensive, self-paced training and pass a certification exam to ensure that you’re prepared to deliver high-quality, client-centered coaching.

  • Prerequisites: No prior certifications or experience required.
  • Designation Training Requirements: 60 hours of online training focused on life skills counseling best practices, goal-setting, and individualized coaching strategies.
  • Designation Exam Type: Online, closed-book final certification exam.
  • Self-paced Learning: Complete the training on your schedule.
  • Continuing Education Requirements: Recertify every three years to maintain active CLSC status.
